Research has showed that the low hum of activity that is the background noise to most coffee shops can actually boost productivity so Kelly and Carly take the opportunity to discuss their experiences working from coffee shops and whether they’ve found this to be true.

- Be super courteous of the cafe. It’s not their job to provide you with a free office so make sure you order something at least every hour.
- Don’t occupy a table at lunch when you’ve been ordering drinks only all morning.
- Read the vibe. If the tables are mostly empty and the cafe is really chilled out it shouldn’t be a problem.
- Set yourself a task you want to complete. One week do it at home and the next week do it from a coffee shop and see what the difference is.
